Abstract:

In recent years, the problem of selecting and evaluating the suppliers in supply chain management has aroused considerable interest in business firms. Owing to the development of information systems, reaching an appropriate decision for adopting discrete methods is a need. The researchers intend to present a new model in this paper as a contributing factor in the grey environment in which the risk factor is evaluated high. The model decreases uncertainty in terms of two phases: A phase in parameter in terms of three -parameter interval grey numbers (the numbers are elicited from grey theory) instead of linguistic variables; in the other phase, we use a combination of AHP method and Bulls-eye method. A new method is used to rank suppliers that are due to generalization of ELECTRE I for three- parameter interval grey numbers named Grey-ELECTRE. Finally, a case study is brought to show application of the model in practical situation.

A Grey-Based Fuzzy ELECTRE Model for Project Selection

Project selection is considered as an important problem in project management. It is multi-criteria in nature and is based on various quantitative and qualitative factors. The main purpose of this paper is to present a new rank-based method for project selection in outranking relation. According to this approach, decision alternatives were clustered in the concordance matrix and the discordance...

A Grey Transportation Problem in Fuzzy Environment

In classical transport models, it is always assumed that parameters such as the distance from each supply node to each demand node or the cost of transferring goods from one node to another, as well as quantities such as supply and demand are definite and definite amounts. But in real matters, considering these assumptions is not logical. On the other hand, there may be a real problem in mathem...

Improvement of a Grey Based Method for supplier selection problem

Purpose: In this article, we combine this new approach based on the concepts of Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to evaluate and select the best supplier. Design/methodology/approach: Supplier evaluation is a Multi-Attribute Decision-Making (MADM) problem that is affected by quantitative and qualitative factors, some of which may conflict. Since most of th...
